Yesterday I responded to the Liberal Government’s budget. It projects $765 billion in new borrowing, much of it outside the budget itself. Broken promises, obfuscation, and accounting trickery won’t stop inflation or help Canadians struggling with the high cost of living.

For 11 straight years, this government has broken its own projections. Yet when pressed for answers in the House, the Parliamentary Secretary questioned my credibility when I quoted numbers straight from their budgets.

The Bank of Canada says inflation is rising and economic growth is slowing. This Liberal government refuses to take accountability for its economic practices. When will this government STOP its inflationary deficit spending?
