Peace Bridge Vigil

Last year, Jina Mahsa Amini was murdered in Iran while in police custody for incorrect headcovering, sparking mass protests in Iran. My MP colleagues Greg McLean, Tom Kmiec and I joined Calgarians at the Peace Bridge to honour all those who have lost their lives at the hands of the murderous Iranian regime, and those who continue to risk their lives for their freedom. A tree was planted to honour 10 year old Kian Pirfalak, who was fatally shot by the Iranian regime while a passenger in his parents’ car. He died before fulfilling his stated wish to plant his own tree.
