Dear friends,

As the weather turns colder, I wish you and your families many wonderful memories with the holidays approaching.

On Remembrance Day we paid respects to all those who have served, those who continue to serve, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of Canadian values like freedom, democracy, pluralism and the rule of law. Lest we forget.

Remembrance Day 2025

The Liberals finally introduced a budget in November. It nearly doubles the deficit that caused the resignation of the previous Finance Minister at $78 billion. There are no solutions to the rising cost of living facing Canadians and any fiscal anchor has been abandoned. This government has failed to get any cross-party support.

Meanwhile, at Finance Committee A tax haven expert testified that Brookfield Asset Management, “is one of Canada’s largest tax dodgers.” A second expert said, “People claiming to fight tax havens … are actors who themselves have benefited off tax havens.” The Prime Minister is Brookfield’s former chair, and since 2020 the CRA has only won 14 offshore tax evasion cases. That's less than THREE successful prosecutions for offshore evasion per year in a country with over 300 million annual tax returns - and an agency with 59,000 employees
