Parliament remains prorogued until March 24th.
On Sunday, the Liberal Party chose Mark Carney to be their new leader. It is likely the Liberal Government will call an early spring election rather than allowing Parliament to meet. We are ready.
For 9 years, the Conservatives have asked the current government to address our economic resilience and improve our trade. U.S. President Trump has declared unjust and unjustified tariffs on Canada’s already weakened economy. Tariffs harm both the Canadian and American economies by increasing the cost of goods for consumer and reducing the wages and opportunities for workers on both sides of the border. Our Canada First Plan will protect our economy, defend our sovereignty, bring home production and paycheques, and never back down.
• Retaliate dollar-for-dollar to U.S. tariffs.
• Help affected workers and businesses with tariff revenue.
• Bring It Home Tax Cut on work, investment, energy and homebuilding.
• Scrap the Liberal anti-energy law C-69 and greenlight resource projects.
• Remove interprovincial trade barriers.
• Rebuild our military and take back control of our borders.
We will protect our economy, defend our sovereignty, bring home production and paycheques and never back down. We will put Canada First—now and always.
I attended the Canada First Rally in Ottawa to celebrate our Canadian flag and hear Conservative Opposition Leader Pierre Poilievre talk about his Canada First plans for our country. When responding to the unjustified U.S. tariffs and Trump’s repeated calls for Canada to be absorbed into the U.S., Pierre said “Let me be clear: We will never be the 51st state. We will bear any burden and pay any price to protect our sovereignty and independence.” |
