Dear friends,
I am back in Ottawa for the fall Parliamentary session, and I am excited to be named to the Standing Committee on Finance. I welcome the opportunity to hold this government to account for its wasteful spending.
Two years ago, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh signed onto a costly coalition with Prime Minister Trudeau’s government which hiked taxes, increased food costs, doubled housing costs and increased crime. Singh announced that he would end their Agreement and will instead analyze future votes on their own merit. Since then, the Conservatives put forward 2 motions declaring non-confidence in the current Liberal government. Unfortunately, the Bloc and the NDP voted both times to keep this current government in power for longer. My colleagues and I will continue to fight for Canadians to vote for an immediate carbon tax election. |
