The parliamentary session returns from break mid-September, and I will resume holding the government in Ottawa to account. Two years ago, NDP leader Jagmeet Singh signed onto a costly coalition with Prime Minister Trudeau’s government which hiked taxes, increased food costs, doubled housing costs and increased crime. Last week, Singh announced that he would end their Agreement and will instead analyze future votes on their own merit. When my colleagues and I return to Ottawa, I expect an early confidence vote and call on the NDP and Bloc to support Canadians by voting non-confidence in this Liberal government and trigger an immediate fall election.
I enjoyed spending summertime in Calgary where I saw many people at community and cultural events. Thank you, to the local organizations for inviting me to participate. This year’s Stampede gave me the opportunity to serve breakfasts and meet hundreds of Calgarians at amazing volunteer driven events in our communities. I also toured facilities and received feedback from workers.
